Why am I getting an Unexpected End of File or Unclosed Literal String error?

You may see these errors when attempting to run the UAD Validator, create a MISMO XML file, or upload a report to Rels using our Rels VSS Connection. It indicates that one of Appraise-It's system files did not update correctly.

1. Close Appraise-It.
2. Open your Common Files folder.

  • In a 64-bit operating system, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files.
  • In a 32-bit operating system, go to C:\Program Files\Common Files.
  • The Program Files (x86) folder will only appear on 64-bit operating systems. If you don't have one, go to Program Files.

3. Find and delete the SFREP folder inside the Common Files folder.
4. Reinstall Appraise-It.

When the reinstall is complete, re-open Appraise-It and you should be able to proceed.
