Clear Comp

To clear a comp using the ribbon buttons, make sure you are in a field within the comp you wish to delete and press the ribbon button for Clear Comp. It does not matter which field you are in as long as it is within the comparable in question. All of the information in the comparable grid and photo page for that comp will be deleted.

You can also right-click in any field of the comp and select Clear Comp, or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Delete. Note that the right-click menu and ribbon mouse-over tool tips also list the keyboard shortcuts for all actions. This can be helpful if you forget one.

Copy and Paste Comp
To copy a comp, enter into any one of its fields and select Copy Comp or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + C. You can then move to a field in a comp and select Paste Comp or use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + V.

You can also paste a copied comp over an existing comp. When you attempt to do this, Appraise-It Pro will ask you if you wish to replace the existing comp with the copied comp.

Swap Comp
Moving a comp is much like copying one, but you will be cutting instead of copying. Enter into an existing comp and select Cut Comp or press Ctrl + Shift + X. This will remove the comp data and place it in Appraise-It Pro’s clipboard memory. Now you can go to a blank or existing comp and paste it in.

Finally, you can swap two comps by selecting the first comp and copying it. Then, go to the comp you wish to swap it with and select Swap Comps or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + U. Appraise-It Pro will display a confirmation dialog to verify this is what you want to do. In the confirmation dialog, click Swap or press Enter.

A couple of things to note: Remember that whenever you swap, paste, copy, or clear a comp on a comp page, the picture and information for that comp will also be changed on the corresponding comparable photo addendum.

You can also copy and paste comps between multiple reports.
